New Housing Starts

Like many communities, Anoka has a shortage of housing options.  There is very little open land remaining in Anoka—and it is time for the City of Anoka to focus on developing the empty lots already purchased by the city.  The city owned property should be developed with a range of housing for seniors and young families.  This new development should be well planned and thoughtful, but it should be a very high priority and expedited to return this property to the tax rolls and to begin to alleviate the tight housing situation in Anoka.  As Senior Citizens or young families move into new housing starts, it would also open up existing housing for those who are hoping to live in Anoka.
