Safety First

We are fortunate in Anoka to have outstanding Police and Fire Departments.  At a time when salaries, benefits, equipment, and training costs have increased as a result of inflation, the budget for our Police and Fire Departments have been stretched thin at times, and difficult budgetary choices have been made.  I strongly support prioritizing full funding and staffing of police and fire protection to keep us safe.  Funds should never be diverted from our Police or Fire Departments for property purchases.
