Vision and Priorities

Vision:

I believe the Anoka City Council should: always be open and transparent in its work, be fiscally responsible with every dollar, treat every person with dignity and respect, honor our history while developing clear plans for a bright future for our city, and every Council member should adhere to the highest ethical standards.

Priorities

My priorities as a member of the Anoka City Council would be:

  • Fiscal responsibility and good stewardship of our resources and tax dollars
  • Maintaining our vibrant downtown, encouraging local businesses and supporting their investment in our downtown
  • A safe community and welcoming neighborhoods
  • Oppose Counties current jail plan
  • Promoting “good government”—open and transparent leadership, with the highest ethical standards
  • Developing a more organized approach to maintaining and improving our city parks, playgrounds, and trails
  • Preserving the historic character of our city
  • Encouraging collaborative leadership, civil conversation and dialogue and working to find common ground.
  • Increase new housing starts

I ask for your vote on November 5th.  Thank you!
