Vision and Priorities
Vision:
I believe the Anoka City Council should: always be open and transparent in its work, be fiscally responsible with every dollar, treat every person with dignity and respect, honor our history while developing clear plans for a bright future for our city, and every Council member should adhere to the highest ethical standards.
Priorities
My priorities as a member of the Anoka City Council would be:
- Fiscal responsibility and good stewardship of our resources and tax dollars
- Maintaining our vibrant downtown, encouraging local businesses and supporting their investment in our downtown
- A safe community and welcoming neighborhoods
- Oppose Counties current jail plan
- Promoting “good government”—open and transparent leadership, with the highest ethical standards
- Developing a more organized approach to maintaining and improving our city parks, playgrounds, and trails
- Preserving the historic character of our city
- Encouraging collaborative leadership, civil conversation and dialogue and working to find common ground.
- Increase new housing starts
I ask for your vote on November 5th. Thank you!
